This course explores what the Mental Health Act (1983) is and how it is used in relation to a person’s journey from assessment and treatment through to discharge and aftercare. It also follows the story of Iris, a young woman who has experienced a mental health crisis that led to admission to hospital under the Act.
This course will take approximately one and a half to two and a half hours to complete, but this timing will depend on how fast you read and how long you spend on the activities and reflective questions. You do not need to complete the whole course in one go. If you leave and come back to the course it will remember where you got up to.
